This slick coated dark red tri-color ABCA Border Collie was purchased from Scott Mayfield of Oklahoma as an out cross for our females. We researched numerous males on the internet, making good use of today’s technology. We were looking for size, substance and different cattle working bloodlines than our Abingdon breeding and the result was this good boned male with lots of bite.
Krome’s first litter was from cross with ABC Mollie. Mollie is one of our three outstanding Tip X Cookie females and an ASCA Working Trial Champion. Sherry Gorham’s’ Huck, whelped in Krome and Mollie’s 2010 litter, was the 2012 Rancher Champion at the Klamath Bull sale. Showing a combination of Krome’s substance and Mollie’s style and athleticism, each pup from this litter showed interest in working stock at a young age, was willing to get in and bite when asked but still work wide with respect for its stock. We retained two of these outstanding working prospects and anticipate entering them both into the 2013 Red Bluff Bull & Gelding Sale.
